SpiceJet recently introduced a new menu that comprises of an exquisite range of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. Cuisines from the North such as Chicken Makhanwala, Dal Makhani and Paneer Do Pyaza have been carefully juxtaposed against traditional South Indian favourites such as Mirch Ka Salan, Chicken Nilgiri, and Mixed Veg Chettinad in the lunch/dinner menu. For those with a taste for Continental cuisine, the airline offers Grilled Chicken Breast with Mushroom Sauce and many other delectable meals.

NCDEX Guar Seed Futures Shine with 150% Growth y-o-y: Exchange OI Rose by 5.72% m-o-m

Highlights:

  • Open Interest: Rs. 6455.27 crore in March 2015; 5.72% increase as compared to previous month i.e February 2015.

  • Total traded value of Rs. 54066.79 crore with average daily traded value of Rs. 2457.58 crore for the month of March 2015.

  • 58743 MT quantity delivered through the Exchange platform for the month of March 2015.                                                                                                                                                                                      

Guar seed-10 MT continued to remain star performer on NCDEX futures platform in March, 2015 month with volume growth of 150% y-o-y. The Open Interest on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the leading commodity Exchange for March 2015 also increased by 5.72% m-o-m and stood at Rs. 6455.27 crore. The ADTV for the month stood at Rs. 2457.58 crore with 58743 MT of commodities delivered through the Exchange platform in the month.

For the agri segment, the monthly total volume was Rs. 51536.02 crore. The top three commodities were Chana, Refined Soya Oil and Coriander. The total traded volume for Chana was Rs. 7807.18 crore, Refined Soya Oil was Rs. 7644.85 crore and for Coriander was Rs. 6831.95 crore.

10 MT Guar seed has seen excellent participation; clocking a volume of Rs. 4355.89 crores, around 150% yoy growth.

The Exchange has successfully launched the forward contracts and total 6828 MT got traded with traded value of 2057 lakh since launch of forward contracts and the commodities delivered through the Exchange platform was 6608 MT.

Out of the above 623 MT got traded on Exchange with traded value of 546.55 lakh during the month of March-2015 and the commodities delivered through the Exchange platform was 533 MT during the month of March-2015.

BSE Currency Derivative Turnover Rises 3 Times

The BSE currency derivative turnover recorded for the fourth quarter ended is Rs. 834,627 crore (Jan – Mar 2015). It has grown nearly 3 times as compared to Rs. 288,798 crore in the first quarter (Apr – Jun 2014).

The total currency derivative turnover of BSE for the fiscal 2014-15 stood at Rs 19.08 lakh crore. The BSE introduced the new trading technology “Bolt plus” in April 2004. It is based on T7, the global trading architecture of Deutsche Bourse AG. One of the key features of this system is its response time of 200 micro seconds, and can handle 5 lakh orders per second, making it the fastest trading platform in the country.

SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:  SNDK), a global leader in flash storage solutions, today announced immediate availability of the newest version of its FlashSoft® server-side, solid state caching software, which provides several notable performance, usability and compatibility improvements for Windows®, Linux® and VMware® environments. In making today’s announcement, SanDisk also unveiled that its FlashSoft caching software will be available in new bundled offerings that package the software with SanDisk’s array of enterprise flash hardware solutions, including the Fusion ioMemory™ PCIe application accelerators, the Optimus Ascend™ SAS solid-state drive (SSD), and the CloudSpeed Ascend™ SATA SSD. These new offerings provide an easy-to-implement solution that empowers customers to select the flash storage capacity and performance that best meet their data center needs.

A recent Gartner report indicates that “input/output (I/O) optimization software alleviates the ‘I/O blender’ problem that often plagues dense virtual machine environments and notes that these solutions can be an inexpensive and non-disruptive way to boost application performance.”[1] FlashSoft software does that and more. It reduces I/O latency in VMware vSphere®, Windows Server® and Linux environments through the use of server-side, flash-based storage caching, which helps increase application performance in both virtualized and non-virtualized computing environments. By utilizing server-attached flash storage as an intermediate cache for an application’s most frequently accessed data, or “hot data,” FlashSoft software enables that data to be read and written more efficiently. The software assigns hot data to the solid-state cache, increasing performance while reducing storage area network (SAN) overhead. This prolongs the useful life of current server and storage systems and delivers greater computing power, which increases customers’ return on investment (ROI), while reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) for their data center.

FlashSoft deployments have shown that server-side, solid state caching provides substantial performance benefits to enterprise applications, such as online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads, online analytical processing (OLAP) applications and high performance computing (HPC). Most typical line-of-business applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint and applications based on databases, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle-will also see significant performance increases through the use of the FlashSoft software. Performance tests conducted by SanDisk using an industry standard benchmark showed that the new version of FlashSoft software increases application performance by over 14X compared to a baseline storage array comprised of HDDs. Storage latency was also significantly decreased, with application response times improving by more than 22X.[2]

The latest version of FlashSoft software includes a number of enhancements that help improve performance, compatibility and usability for Windows, VMware and Linux environments, including:
